i just changed the HG and torqued everything now corectly from haynes mannuel, got the timing all set, now its smoking, alot more than before, its white.. and it back fires a lil bit

 

before replacing the hg did you have the head checked for straightness...?

 

yeah it was all fine, theres only 123xx miles, i picked it up for 380 for a dd
but yeah thats all good.... someone said it might be from all the coolant that was in there before, just now burning out.. but like i said, it just now started to smoke alot more so idk

 

Changed the oil?

 

Is coolant getting lower? Either the smoke will clear up, or you will be using up coolant. Observe.

 

yeah i changed the oil, yeah coolant seems to be lower, now this mornign the car wont even start, acts as if theres no spark
you think the head might be bad?
