Default Need radiator/cooling help

It appears my radiator has sprung a small leak. Coolant is pooling up on top of the radiator. I am going to replace it but I would like to know if anything other than age has caused the leak? I know the thermostat is good. I am hoping it is just the radiator. Oh, I have a 99 GSR, bone stock w/ 114k. Thanks for any help!

Its probably just wear and tear and age man....I mean it sounds like its a small leak which leads me to believe its just a crack somewhere from stress. Your thermostat should have nothing to do with it.

Is it the plastic part of the radiator? That is a common place to crack, both my integras broke at the plastic part. I just replaced mine witha fluidyne and it has been fine.

You could patch it and it will last for some more time, however, like most people on here I believe in doing something right, so I'd suggest dropping the cash and just buying a new one man. Good luck
