Default On the market for a turbo, homemade setup, have parts questions.

Ok so I've been looking to, as inexpensively as possible, turbo my car. I'm not trying to go for anything crazy, mostly stock motor, small turbo/boost kind of thing. I'm trying to kick my car over or as close to 200whp as possible. I've been doing my research, talking to some DSM friends. They suggest to buy a 14b. Theyre not expensive and fairly easy to find. But since it is a dsm turbo, what do I do for a turbo manifold? Or down pipe? Then there's the program I tune it on. Well we all know what "Crome" is. It's free. But how do I get it onto my ecu? I never could find that out. TIA for the help

crome is for obd1 ecu's, so you'd have to use a conversion harness. there's no real tuning software for obd2.

Hmm ok I didn't know that. It's good you told me before I bought the ecu. Thanks. Any input on what I need to do to get the program actually on my ecu? Do I need to buy a chip? Or can I do it with some special connector from my laptop to ecu?

http://www.xenocron.com/install/CromeGuide.htm

Now that helps with the programming part of my dillema,
but for those who have a 14b installed on their cars, what did you do for a manifold, or the downpipe?
