power window conversion
ok this is kind of a random question but i need to ask it in case it is important, i am putting power windows into my 98 cx, i have the door internals, the door harnesses, and now ive been told all i need is the floor harness. first off do i need the dash harness as well? second, my cx is a manual, do i need a ex manual floor harness or will one from an automatic ex work? thanks honda-heads.
Well, technically you don't need the WHOLE floor harness, you just need the wires that go to the passenger side for the power windows. Though I don't own a 96-00 Civic, the process is likely similar to a conversion for a 92-95 Civic -- and none of the wires you need have anything to do with whether the vehicle is and Automatic or Manual. Why would they?
Check the link in my signature for a DIY guide on power windows ... it's for 94 Civic, but the concept will be similar. Good luck with the swap!

thats what i thought, i figured it was a simple answer, just wanted to be sure, my biggest question was if the floor harness from the auto and manual were interchangable/same part number.
