It's a cornering light. Also called a side fog light, an intersection light or a high speed turning light.

They're used to both light a dark turn that you're turning into and to warn other drivers (more so) that you're planning to change lanes.

You'll see them on USDM vehicles such as Cadillacs and Escorts too.

 

I can see the function but does it out weigh the ugliness???

 

Does it blink with the turn signals or is it always on?

 

I like them. I don't like how they look on that front end though.

I know they belong on these cars (optional parts). I'm not so sure they were ever offered on Integras at all.

 

Same as all other cars I've seen them on, they turn on with the same side turn signal and then hold on for about a second after the turn signal cancels out. Then they turn off.

Oh, and they only work with the headlights on.

Its an "intersection light", optional on jdm Civics, Integras and Accords.

 

Not in Japan...maybe Europe. I can almost bet money that those are illegal here

 

They are in my jdm DC Integra and EK Civic Honda Access catologs. Yes Japan...

 

I've never seen those here. I 've seen them in the States on those big *** caddy's and what nots. Must not be a very popular accessary. I still question the legality. I don't think they allow cars with non blinking white lights on the sides of cars here.

 

I've actually not found them listed in the European catalogs yet.

 

they were optional on the 94 accords

 

Looks like they were actually available on '94-'97 Accord coupes, sedans and wagons.

 

 

Only looks good on accords.
