Dont think thats his, he is asking about it. its a 99-00 si wing.

Thats the only way to go if you want a wing. nothing else at all really.

Actually, it's a '99-'00 Civic coupe spoiler. The lower one is a '96-'98 Civic coupe spoiler.

It would fit. '96-'00 coupes all use the same trunk.

The holes should be close, if not the same, I would think.

it will bolt in to the existing holes from a stock 96-98 spoiler. also the electrical connector is on the opposite side. i tried to put a si spoiler on my 97 coupe and it bolted on, but where the stock electrical connector is located on my coupe left about a 1/4 inch opening in my trunk so i ended up selling it.

Oh, and third brake lights are required by law since 1986. As long as there is still one visible in the rear window there shouldn't be a problem.

Removing it will leave a big gap though.

but wouldn't the led brake light on the spoiler take the place of the third brake light that is located inside the car? I don't think I've seen a car with a spoiler brake light and an inside mounted brake light

Yes, it does. The plug for the window light fits the cord for the spoiler. One is plugged in or the other is.

The OP asked about removing it though.

I had a 96-98 spoiler on my 99 Civic and I just spliced the wire to the third brake light so both the spoiler light and the light in the rear window lit up...

It's not meant for that generation and risks looking strange and like it does not belong on the car (it's a very high spoiler and doesn't work on many cars, I've noticed).

All you need to do is measure your trunk's width and then get the same for any '96-'00 Civic coupe.

Look for a used one. Spoilers aren't exactly the type of item that has high wear and tear. As long as when it is removed it is unplugged and not just snipped, it will be perfect save for paint.

I'd try H-T MarketPlace, eBay Motors and local salvage yards (car-part.com).
