Default Opinion on some seats......

Has anyone had any experience with these seats or have heard any opinions on them? are they worth it? I want to buy a pair of seats for my 97ej8. And was looking to get these since im local. And they sort of look like EP3 seats which i like alot. Any opinions or facts? TIA

Cuz they are harder to find, and more work.

88-92 Jetta GLi and GTis had Recaros, absolutely Amazing seats. if you can find a pair of those in good condition, they would work well.

I'd go with name brand or made by Honda/Acura... something as vital in safety standards as a seat should not be taken lightly.

Ok..... Didn't know everyone was very picky as to safety. So I guess I'm better putting on Si seats then. Which seats are better? Gsr? Or SI? And easier to install. Take note I only want fronts

Si seats are easier to install, they are a direct swap. GSR seats only require swapping seat rails, then they are a direct swap.
Which is better is debatable. There seem to be a lot of 99-00 Si fanboi's on this forum, so that's probably the answer you'll get. You'll be better off making your own decision.

I have GSR seats myself, and I really like the feel of them, especially the side bolsters.

Well that's all I had to hear. But my question is are SI seats more comfy than my stock seats? Cuz what I'm really loolking for is comfort and style too(just a little). Thanx for the inputs so far.

Well if i were you i would just find someone selling seats and sit down in them before you buy them to see if you think there comfy or not. Personally i LOVE the 98 Prelude seats they look really sweet and there comfy as ****! But everyones different.

Those look like the NRG Type R replicas. I was thinking of gettin myself a pair of those NRG's, but I guess from what some ppl say, they aren't very good.

99-00 Si seats differ only in the pattern and headrest, not comfort and support. Do they look a little better? In my opinion yes.. GSR seats are definitely more comfortable, but I am not a huge fan of the way the look specifically after the leather starts to wear...

I have s2000 seats on my car and absolutely love them. It requires a little bit of work but there is no ghetto fabbing, no welding, and they fit and recline just like OEM when you are done...

you must have never sat in a EM1 Si seat then....they have the tilt lever as every seat does as well as variable seat angle and lumbar support...seeing how you can adjust the seat in 3 different ways to exactly how you want it...i would say the Si is pretty damn different as well as comfortable...i dont know of any other stock seat with as much adjustment as the EM1 seats...

to the OP...DO NOT GET THOSE CHEESY SEATS.....they feel horrible to the touch and when you look at them close up they are horrible...I just bought JDM Recaros and will be selling my MINT EM1 front seats if you want them, but idk about the rails yet, i may need them, but you can swap yours onto them just as easy....

EX seats have the height/angle adjusters and other models do as well. I OWN an EM1 and was not a huge fan of the seats in terms of comfort or support.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-s2k-seat-pan-swap-into-eg-del-sol-ek-2337453/

That is the thread for the s2000 seat pan swap. It takes a bit of work but it is worth it in every way. Just make sure that when doing the drivers seat you have a pan that does NOT have the height adjusters. That is something I didn't know at first.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/lessons-learned-s2k-seat-pan-swap-2456542/

That is the lessons learned thread I created after doing the swap...

I also like the black ITR seats and black JDM recaros, but the s2k's are a little easier to come buy and you can find a deal every once in a while...

I wouldn't buy from jdmcarboy judging by their bad reviews you see on here sometimes.

Well. So what are my options? I mean I don't mind modification as long as it doesn't involve welding and all.I like how Si seats look but the gsr seats look the same. And if I were to get some I would get cloth not leather. I like EP3 seats but I heard they are hard to install.

Again I would go with the s2000 seats... The EP3 seats don't fit without a lot of custom fabrication...
