The o2 sensor wire could be pinned wrong since you tried 2 different sensors. Make sure you are using a type-s primary 02 sensor. I dunno what to say about the vtc, other than making sure all the sensors are plugged in.

 

b17 answered your o2 sensor question but regarding your vtc phase gap, you will have to check the cam timing once again. Being off one tooth will cause a CEL and from the looks of it, you might be off many teeth
