so my idiot cusin put my battery on backwards on my crx
replaced the 60a fuse on the engine bay fuse box

.i get a crank
but dont turn over!!!

please help

 

check other fuses.
do ya have spark , fuel ?

 

wow. that sucks. that could easily kill an ecu too...

 

i cheked all my other fuses
i got new spark plugs and wires
new battery
...
looks like im getting fuel.
and changed the ecu as well..
but still no turn over.
urgh!!!

 

are you getting spark?
does the check engine light come on any codes?

 

yup evry wires getin spark
no chek engine light....

..my fuel flows slowly dont know if it might be loss of pressure

 

check the ecu for codes there has to be something if your getting fuel and spark

check main relay for proper power too... that controls the injectors

edit: well, power to the injectors

 

pull the carpet back and on the passager floor board the will be a plate remove it.
unfer the plate the ecu will have a small little round window turn the key to acc. and count the flashes.

 

aight now i gota recharge my battery cus some how it got drained....

how do i knw what the count of flashes mean?

 

count them write them down, then come back. a code will look like this for example. they consit of long flashes and short flashes

examples
long long long short short=32
long= 10
long short short short short=14
short=1

ok..so i chekd my fuel presure..
took off the fuel lines
and my gas jst over flows,doesnt shoot up..
im guessin loss of pressure.??

..and im guessin means i need a fuel pump??

i heard the fuel pump goes out when this
whole scenerio with the bakwards battery thing happens?

 

Same thing happened to me on my 93 civic, Its your alternator trust me take it out and check if its working, I had the same problem i messed with my timing bought a new distributor, a new fuel pump, changed the interior and exterior fuse box, i even changed my ECU............and after time and money spent,,,,,,it was my dam alternator@! make sure you get a new one not those rebuilt ones cus they suck.

 

and if thats not it theres a main relay, but check your alternator you can always take it out and have it checked at a auto shop for free sometimes.
