2002 Accord lighting issue
Hello electrical gurus,I have a 2002 Accord - the license plate light, visor lights, and tail lights are all inop. The fuses under the hood and inside the car all test okay. The lights test okay. Grounds at sockets test okay. All other lights work normally. Is there a connection or circuit that these three items have in common??
The fuse blocks all have voltage to them. An aftermarket stereo system HAS been recently installed. I cannot find a fuse that lists the tail lights.
Thanks for the replies!

Car stereo and amp reported inop now (daughter's car). Found blown 7.5a ACC RELAY fuse. Disconnected aftermarket stereo wiring adapter. All fuses and fuse boxes have voltage. Still no parking lights (front and tail), license plate light, or visor lights. Hmmmm...
i think i had this problem on my accord. can't remember if i had the exact same problems but my tail lights had no response to brake or park or anything. didn't notice til friend was drivin behind me one night.
behind the aftermarket stereo looking at the stereo to wiring harness wires there is a yellow one(cont. power) and a red on(accessory power). it is like this on most models but you may want to double check. sometimes the stereo will have a diagram on the one of its surfaces. anyways i connected the acc. wire to the cont power wire and the brake light problem was fixed. and now i can turn my stereo on with my accessory light switch
kinda nifty no key stereo. it has accessory lights on the sides always when the engine is on though but ide rather that be on then having the brake lights not work and night time lights not working
now i did this without any experience in electrical systems so it might not be a good way to fix the problem but nothing seems to be going wrong in my car and it has been working this way for about 1.5 years

The #10 fuse is good and there is voltage to the fuse box (as are all fuses and fuse boxes - the three that I can find; firewall, driver side, and passenger side). After doing some further study, I have noticed that all of the inop components - position lights, taillights, instrument panel lights, side marker lights, and rear license plate lights - ALL go through the parking light position of the headlight switch... Also - I DO NOT get the reminder chime with the driver's door open. I think we may have connected the dimmer wire on the aftermarket stereo wiring kit incorrectly, and disabled the parking light switch circuitry... Is there a fuse that protects the parking light switch???
I found the parking light relay inside of the right kick panel. When I accidentally connected the dimmer control of the aftermarket wiring kit to a ground, I smoked the relay. $11.42 later, I was back in business... Now daughter has booming subs AND lights!!! Thanks for all of the tips!
