I have CHP on Thursday. Im woried about my hood not having the VIN number on it. I know that its the original hood. Can someone help me out... Will they take my hood of if it doesnt have the number on it.........? do i need someone to write me a bill of sale just in case..?

 

Why are you going to the CHP? Brake and lamp inspection? Trying to register a salvage title?

 

uh.. dont think they will take your hood for any reason.. unless it does have a vin and if it is stolen..

 

they took my hatch but this was at the stockton one, i heard the san fransisco one doesn't really care at all and just pass you

 

the car is has a theft title so they sents me to chp
i passed smog and brake and light already.

 

i will be going to the one in rancho cordova
an theres a new rule about wen u go to chp that u have to come with the seller of the car..?

 

oh i heard the rancho cordova one is real strict, i don't know about coming about the seller thing

but they usually just wan't a receipt for your front end, doors, and hatch, motor if the vins don't match your car

my door and hatch had the vins painted over so they wanted me to surrender them but i got the paint off the door so it was all good, but i ruined the vin on the hatch, but i surrendered some other hatch i had laying around instead of mine
