Default Rattle tech!/ Cluster swap

Finaly got to drive the CRX yesterday and it is a beast!! Now that bad part....With the Hasport mounts the engine rattles the hell out of the car. The dash and sunroof are driving me insane!!!

I am going to remove the dash, install some dynamat and rubber washers to hopefully cure the dash rattles. While the dash is out I figured I would replace the cluster since the speedometer squeeks the entire time you are driving(squeek, squeek, squeek)

I am not sure what to do about the vibrating sunroof. Suggestions??

What cluster is the "easiest" swap with the highest redline? I hate wiring!

Thanks,

probably either 99-00 si/94-01 gsr cluster. those seem to be pretty damn easy(especially with the whole dash out of the way, and they look pretty sick too.

as for sunroof, maybe delete it? unless you want it, then i suggest getting some subs so that when everything is rattling, you can just think its all from the subs and not the engine mounts. lol

I suggested deleting it and the wife said no cause she likes it. I think I have it figured out. I am going to remove the headliner and dynamat the hell out of the top and see if that helps. Maybe I can keep the vibration from ever getting to the sunroof.

Its possible that the "squeaking" in your gauge cluster can be remedied by lubricating your speedometer cable.

I think I am going with a type R cluster to go with the type motor. I still have the electronic VSS from my old Integra so that will cut down the price of the swap some.

It looks like a real PITA to do the cluster swap but it needs to be done.
