Default Brian Crower Stage 2 cams CRACK?

I just got a set of brian crower s2 cams and I read that their exhaust cam cracks because of the design of the vtec lobes. Can someone confirm this? I really dont want this cam in my head if its going to break and ruin everything. I also read that the vtec lobe binds with the LMA's which causes the cam to break. If this is all true, would a set of S2 S1 pro series be better? Someone please help.

If you follow the instllation instructions specific for those cams and don't cut corners you should be fine.

Whats your setup? What compression you at? Its good to hear some people have no problem with thses cams. I just orderd a set of BuddyClub Spec III cams to use. Its less agressive than the Brian Crower stage 2 N/A cams.

Setup
build was mild
b16 head stock
crower valve springs/ retainers
crower 402-2

bottom end was a stock GSR block w/ 11.1 Srp pistons

Bolts consisted of a Sparks racing tri y header /testpipe/ and apex n1 exhaust.

Cams peaked at 8500 rpm on my setup

there is a difference between crower and brian crower. the crower ones are the ones known to snap. i haven't seen a brian crower cam snap yet.

correct, also the Brian Crowers are now being reported with many out of tolerance flaws, also i know its mitsubishi but AMS has stopped carrying and endorsing Brian Crower and switched to GSC.

In the latest cam tests BC made the least power

b.crower 2's are a good cam that makes good vtec power, whereas the bc3+'s make monster low-mid with very comparale top end. op, pm me and i'll shoot u a few charts from my build. b.crower 2's made 199whp, 143wtq. bc3+ 196whp, 141wtq, but the 3+'s made more average power from 3-8k

had my brian crower na stage 2's for about a year now with no problems.
b16 11.7cr 191whp, only negative is max power @ 8600 but that's mostly because of my p/p and other mods.
