Default 2000 si header wont fit

my buddy has a 2000 si and we are in the process of installing his apexi catback exhaust. well everything fits awesome until we get to replacing the header. he bought it from a performance shop near us..it was their own brand i think. well it fits just as it should but the no.4 cyl downpipe hits the damn slave cylinder bleeder screw! has this ever happened to anyone before? the damn shop doesnt do refunds so were stuck

putting the stock header back on is better than putting a dent in your header, maybe its for the obd0 b16? thats why it doesn't clear. ask them for a return or an exchange.

denting the header is completely against the point of the header. since there are 3? versions of the B16 in the US, and between all of the worldwide B16s AND the DOHC ZC engines which are basically the same outside dimensions, you really have to pay attention to which engine you are getting parts for. i would be wary of anything like a header that has to FIT thats listed as fitting "B16" since by my count there are at least 9 different B16s out there.

When you got the header did it say "Application 2000 Honda Civic Si" or just B16?

I remember I bought a header for my Integra and the box only said B18. When I opened the box and test fitted it I noticed there was a gap. Found out later on that it was for a GSR and not an LS.

I hate when shops do that ****!

I assume the header is still in good shape? Return it and ask for one that fits.
