Default It's time for rebuild EF/d16a6...

hey guys its been a while i haven't posted anything here well here i decided to build my ef after its been long 6 months on my drive way due to a bent valve and in need of new clutch and fly wheel...

earlier i was planning to pull the head cylinder out earlier but im still a nooby on this it took me 4 hours just to get the head cylinder ready to be pulled out, then i found out a lot of problem under the car i saw oil+tranny fluid dripping everywhere. So i decided to rebuild my whole engine and clean all that nasty oil tranny fluid under the car and beside i need to rebuild the front end of my car due to an accident that happen last year. So i have question to ask can someone give me a write up of how to take off an engine on my 90 Si civic. so here are some pic of what i did earlier i really need help on this one guys im new at rebuilding engine and frame of the car...

its been sitting down there for 6 months

what i did earlier

idk tried to take the head cylinder

that is what my car look like after the whole day hehe

The service manual is basically 90% pictures and diagrams, what specific questions do you have that we can clarify?

Just dive in man its really all common sense. Unhook all wiring, fuel lines, shift linkage, exhaust, axles etc...remove everything in the way Radiator, alternator etc...

Latch onto engine with Cherry picker and carefully remove it.

Bag and label all bots. Be safe!!!!!!!!!!!

General opinion believes Haynes should stick to making underwear and that people serious about working on there car should invest in the official Honda service manual/Helm's manual.

it serves its purpose. Its no holy grail guide to the EF but hell, it gives the general guidlines to perform repairs. If its that complicated for the OP to decode simple instructions from a step by step book, maybe he should leave it to a pro.

I wouldnt invest in anything more untill i got a basic understanding of removing parts.
