Thanks to a generous ITR owner (who shall remain nameless so that he is not inundated with requests), I now have a set of projectors from a BMW X5. After an hour of disassembling the headlight housings, I managed to extract these OEM HID projectors.

My plan is to crack open the Integra headlights and retrofit these in. This will give me OEM colouration (that nice blue that everyone craves), as well as OEM beam pattern.

Here are some pics of the projectors. The shield is distinctly different than a projector designed for halogen housings. The curve on the shield is absent on the halogen housing.

Beam pattern should be perfect. These projectors are designed for OEM HID......

Pull the bumper cover, then pull the lights.

Put the lights in 400 degree oven for 5 minutes, pull the clear plastic off the front, unscrew the projectors, replace them then reseal with silicone and reinstall

That's an awesome idea, I hope it works out for you. Is it going to be plug and play or will some dremeling be involved? Will you be using the BMW HID bulbs and ballasts or just the projector housing?

 

I hope you're going to try this on an extra set of headlights.

 

Gotta have sort of guinea pig.

 

ive been wanting to do this with Audi S4 projectors but I just dont have the resources to chance it if it doesnt work and i just paid for the stuff.
