RBC intake mani and BDL fuel rail?
Hi guys. Just a quick into. name is mike. i have a 05 civic coupe thats k swapped. My gold eagle fuel rail broke. Due to my stupidness. So I bought a BDL fuel rail and it does NOT FIT!!!!!!I have an RBC intake manifold. I do not know if anyone in there knows why this is happening. I cna not push the rail all the way down ont he injectors. its almost like its about 1/4 inch or less short of making a good seal. Does the BDL rail not fit the rbc manifold? Thanks a bunch
Mike

where did you buy the BDL fuel rail? Was it listed as a K series fuel rail?
http://www.weaksauceparts.com/store/...roductid=18893
the one listed here fits k20a2 and k20a3... you may have to modify yours to fit... otherwise you might have received one for a different vehicle. i would browse www.ephatch.com they have a whole engine swap section with great members to help.

You have to enlarge the holes on the fuel rail (widen it out) so it sits flush on the RBC manifold. There's an article on k20a.org, go find it.
Pffft.... noobs

what you said is not only wrong b BDL's words or anyone who i have ever hered of trying this. if you weaken the tabs your likely to break some thing on your fuel system. psht ricers

Maybe just a mix up in the rail they sent you. Not to hate on weaksauce because I buy a lot from them, but I have a friend that got mixed up parts twice from them.
What does modifying a part have to do with being a ricer? Unfortunately for u he is right. U have to make a modification in order for the fuel rail to fit on the rbc. I have see many articles regarding this. Check at k20a or clubrsx!!

for stock rail, if you want to use the rbc manifold you HAVE to widen the holes because they dont line up with the manifold. so im guessing if you bought a k20 aftermarket rail, most likely your gunna have to widen those holes too.
i have a BDL fuel rail on my type-s right now with the stock manifold but i used to have an RBC on my car and i had no fitment issues with the BDL fuel rail. i will try and find some pics and post them if i can
I have already widened the holes. do you have a mesurement of how much you had to grind down those tabs. or how did you deside how much to take off?
jesus.. on mine i didnt have to grind the tabs down just widen the two holes.. and it fit prefectly.. but i will say the golden eagle unit looks much better.
I have a Kswap eg with a BDL rail and RBC and it didn't fit either. I had to double the bottom orings on the injectors to get it to seal. I didn't want to grind the rail because I was afriad it would break later.

Fuel leaks = bad

Had a leaky injector seal on my Integra...noticed a really strong gas odor while driving around and I popped the hood to see my #3 injector spraying a stream of gas directly onto the alternator
I'm lucky the car didn't blow up.
lol that is my pics above i had to grind down half the tab and drill the holes wider to fit my bdl on my rbc manifold with rdx injectors here are some more before and after pics
