96 accord rough braking
96 honda accord ex
when breaking the entire front of the car vibrates and shakes which gets worse if the speed at which im braking is higher.
the car has performance slotted and drilled rotors and yellowstuff brakes. i have already checked the caliper mounting bracket to knuckle bolts and caliper to mounting brakcet bolts and they are torqued at the correct amounts.
ive taken my suspension apart many times and always torque the bolts when putting it all back together. is it just the slots and drills on the new rotors causing the vibrations or is there something loose somewhere? also my back brakes need changing really bad but i don't think this has anything to do with the problem since 75% of breaking power is in the front

I was gonna say new rotors but of there new idk did u get them hot and wash your car or something and get them wet and warp them?? Ive done that a couple times and it will vibrate the crap out of the car i have slotted rotors on my accord and they dont do that at all, check to make sure u didnt accidently warp them...hope this helps
nah i remember when i put them on last year and it was january and they sat out side for a night so they were cold during the first start and it had vibration back then too. unless when the shop pressed my hubs back onto the steering knuckles they did it incorrectly. you know i havn't tested the torque on the steering knuckle to hub assembly bolts(four bolts on the back of the knuckle) yet maybe they are loose and are giving it some free play. ill check this and let you guys know what happens
well i had this problem so i changed the rotors to the new slotted and drilled ones and it did not go away. so there is no way that the hub to knuckle bolts not being torqued all the way would cause vibrations? tomorrow i plan check the bolts to make sure they are all tight but if the only probable cause is lateral runout then i guess i need to get my rotors resurfaced or buy new ones if they are truly warped bad. what is the best way to check for warp damage?

yessir when i installed the new rotors i also installed new yellowstuff pads. the car drives straight and continues to drive straight even if i let go of the steering wheel but ive taken the suspension apart many times and im not an expert at all. havn't had the alignment checked in forever

oh its been quite awile and i have two front tires that really need replacing. it only vibrates when im braking now. anyways i will definitely get it aligned once i get me some new tires just in case. it know for a fact that even with new tires it still shakes.
oh and just remembered that i also just changed the lower ball joints
