accord rotors
to all the accord owners? as u all know that 94-97's front accord rotors dont come off that easy, whats the easiest method to replace them? i understand that theres a bunch of hammering involved? cuz u have to swing the whole knuckle around and remove the rotor from behind, correct? cuz i want to change to slotted and cross drilled rotors

Re: accord rotors (dchi_t)
i just did my four last weekend...trust me its a hell of a time and its not easy unless you have a press to work with other than that you better have a strong arm cause "a hammering you will be" the easiest way is to like you stated disconnec everything in your way swing the knuckle out of the way so you can disconnect the 4 12-point 10mm bolts on the back the hammer the hub/head out from behind. it takes some time but it can be done if you have them time you wanna spend doing it yourself. also if you haven't gotten your rotors yet i just started up my online store front a short time ago(i have licenses and all for revefication) and i can get you your cross drilled slotteds for about 100.00 plus shipping for the pair. i have all four done on my 92 ex ill send you pics if you want. my store front should be fully designed and posted with a couple of weeks.

what i used, and i think the quickest way, is to use a tuning fork type thing but in the shape of a wedge, a biig one to! stuck the damn thing inbetween the hub and rotor and just go around and around with a hammer!!! took like 10mins!! :>

the setup is the same as the 5th gen! u could do it my way by using a wedge like fork and a hammer!

Re: accord rotors (STARRMAN85)
Why not just unbolt the rotor/hub/bearing and take it to a shop and have them press the old one out and the new one in. Shouldn't cost that much. I have a press here at work and thats what I'm going to use in a couple weeks when I do mine. Just my $.02.
