A huge bump set check engine on?! (2001 4cyl.)
Car: 2001 Accord coupe, 4cyl (f23a1), manual tranny, 288 000km (short ram intake installed since recently ~3000km)
I was driving down this weekend on some nice country roads when i suddently bottomed out after a huge bump (front end/subframe took the hit) There was no damage (well it seems so) but right after my check engine light popped on.
I checked the code by jumping the OBD2 connector and it came out to be code 41 (p0135) *Primary heated oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction (sensor 1)*
I drove back home, there was no difference on the engine performance/feeling. I resetted the computer the next day, drove a bit and it came back on. Now i did a quick checkup, resetted the light again and will check how much mileage i do/what makes it light on to try to find a pattern until i can fully troubleshoot that sucker.
In the meanwhile, anyone could point me into what to check out? I know a while back i used to get the code 67 (Cat. converter below treshold or something) and had a slight exhaust leak at the manifold were it joins the head (put some temporary exhaust putty and it never came back on again). Can the code 41 be caused by a mechanical problem following impact (wich i cant seem to detect, everything looks/feels the same than before) ?
Thank you!

did you check ur cat oxygen sensor?? could have bottemed out the exhaust pushed it up and broke that exygen sensor and that could be why your throwing the code....just a thought dont know if im right or wrong but though i would add my 2 cents
but its reporting the primary sensor ... meaning its the one on the exhaust manifold not the cat ... so if the secondary got damaged it would report the secondary O2 ... still check them both
here's a link that has info in that obd2 code:
