This is for my brothers wife's car.. Its a 2000 Accord 4cy EX. If the car is parked with the hood in the sun the car wont start but if the car is parked in the shade it starts just fine.. Im not sure what the problem is or what is heating up and not letting it start. Can someone throw some insite for me to trouble shoot with I would appreciate it.

 

Anyone? Im thinking maybe just replace the cap and rotor.. anyone else ever have this issue

 

In the older Accords and Preludes, we have a common problem with the main relay acting up when temperatures vary drastically from day to night. Not sure about a 2000 but it's something to look at.

 

Thanks. The car cranks just doesnt start i swung by on my way home from work.. So to me it sounds like it just isnt getting enough spark.. Ill check it tho..

 

are you getting any kind of an engine light or anything

 

when is the last time youve changed the battery?

 

Try checking the main relay and your coil for the distributor.Also do you hear the fuel pump click when you turn the key in the on position?
