Default no matter how much you take care of your car

some idiot will always mess it up for you. I went to shop at Costco and came back to the parking lot and saw my LX with the rear driver side fender hit. it looks like a SUV hit it, it was hit just above wheel. Too high for most sedans to reach. Must be one of those SUV driving Costco moms....argh!!

now my question is, is this repairable? it made a huge crack on the paint like its about to peel off. do i need to replace the whole rear fender?

I officially hate your mom. yes you! the one reading this!

Def can repair that! But it seems like someone put a lot of bondo on that fender! Ask at the shop to peel it off and do a good job for you and your money...

Yep, that's a lot of Bondo....I'd scrape all that crap off and see where you are at. Might be a big spot or a small spot, but I would try to fix it the right way.

No offense, but whoever hit you almost did you a favor. Looks like that quarter panel was previously repaired by someone who doesn't know much about proper body panel repair.

ok i took it to my friend and we peeled the sh*t out of it.. we are left with basically 85% of the fender. LOL i have pictures ill post later.

when i bought the car i know it got into a big accident before this. Im guessing the dealer is the one that fixed it.

Get a dent puller and get it as close to the orinal level as possible, "proper" collision repair procedures will require you to only use about 1/8th inch of filler. Whoever did that crap should be shot. It never ceases to amaze me the crap people do to "repair" their cars...I've seen chicken wire with bondo over top, pieces of screen door with filler over top, and yes, of course, duct tape with filler over top. If would help anyone I will write up a thread in the next couple days of the exact step by step procedures to doing this work properly, start to finish. Just let me know... And I'm 3rding the saying "whoever hit you, did you a BIG favor!"
