I have a b18a1 out of an LS, and I'm not sure how to identify the year of the motor. I can't seem to read the "clock markings" either. Anyone have suggestions?

 

B18A should be out of a 90-93 Integra. I don't think they stamp blocks with a year code, just heads

now how do I know which one is mine? I got this info off of hondaswap reference materials, so idk if mine is the 130HP one or the 140HP. would I be able to look it up by vin number? and where can I do that?

 

so a b18b1 would be from a DC?

 

I don't know if you noticed but it appears to list the same motor at two different RPM; the HP number would be different at 6000rpm versus 6300rpm.

b18b = Dc (new)

Same long blocks though... "Boost heads love em" "good for ls/vtec builds"

 

So Are the blocks The same from A 90 To 92 I know that the heads or the cams are different???

 

The blocks are the same.
The power difference is in the head.. diff cams etc..

 

So I can take a 92 head and 90 block and it would work. I know that a 90 is obd0 and a 92 is a obd1!!!! Will that work!!!

 

why dont you run the vin on carfax? it will tell you what year and car it is without you having to pay.
