hey one of my crxs is blowing shitloads of blue smoke.. i have a d16a8 (same soecs as a ZC just came out in AUS and maybe Europe) .. i just wanted to know if the d16a8 is exactly the same as a zc as im plannin to swap in a zc. i.e i wont need to move anythin around? just wanting to know if its a direct swap in..

the ZC is a direct bolt in. the only thing different for us US (Si models) people is that we need to re-pin the dist and bring two wires over to the crank angle sensor. besides that its a drop in.

 

From what I have read, the D16a8 is exactly the same as the ZC, aside from one difference. The valve cover looks different. But that's it.

As far as the install goes. . .search dude. . .there are TONS of posts on this subject. Don't get me wrong, I loved doing my ZC swap and it's fun to talk about, but just do a search. You will find that most of your questions will be answered there.

now i have another question.. my friend haD a zc in his car which he just took out. this is the one im plannin to buy. however before he took it out he had a problem with a few of the sensors? can i mix n match sesors from a d16a8 and if not how much would sensors cost?
