Main Bearing halves....not fit all the way in the block..
is that normal ? I have ACl bearing set and the main ones on the block and one part of the bearing stick out slightly, enough to catch my finger nail when I run my finger to wait..
the other ones is very flush to the block..
should I just keep trying to push it in to make both sides flush evenly...?
thanks

If they stick out, they're not in all the way. Try installing the main cap without the crank and it should straighten out. If you are not sure, bring it by my house and I will help you.
Greg,
You know he is serious. And if anybody buys those pistons for a rotary motor I have some great cams and valves for them.

I am gonna try to push them again, just to make sure the bearing halves is all the way in....
I'lllet you know
thanks again
stan,
i got the acl std bearings for my gsr and they fit in fine.
all were within the spec limits. some closer to tight some closer to loose, some in the middle but still all within spec. they seated in there just fine.

earl,
i'm finding i hear a slight clicking sound at very low idles. it seems to go away at faster speeds. can it possibly be a bearing problem??? is there a way to tell before something bad happens? i have about 950 miles on my rebuild now with je 9:1 , eagle rods and the acls

If it's a click, could be something like noisey injector, valve train, selenoid, waterpump or? Bearing would be more of a deep pounding clang. How's your oil pressure at idle? Hard to say what it could be without hearing it. Might try disconnecting spark plug wires one at a time to see if the noise would go away. That would isolate it to a particular cylinder if it was a piston slap or rod bearing or wrist pin related. Let me know.
