Rod Bearing Help??

Default Rod Bearing Help??

so im gonna help my friend replace his rod bearings in his 1998 ex civic, but it has a swapped b18b1, just wondering about the most effective way to do this in a nut shell, i havent done this since highschool and its been a while so itll all come back to me once im working im just foggy on a few things, like i can just drop the oil pan and do it from there right?

Yea you can just remove the exhaust that is in the way and pull the pan. It will be kind of a pita to do but doable. Pull the spark plugs out so you will be able to move the rod and piston easier.

doing rod/mains like that is a giant pain in the dick. it's so much easier with the engine out of the car and flipped upside down. plus if you try and do this with the engine still in the car, and the crank falls, you run the risk of horribly disfiguring your face and inner bone structure. and i dunno about you but i need that like i need a cerebral hemorrhage.
