what exhaust to buy ep3
oem exhaust sound, check club rsx for a type s midpipe. cheap/quiet/good oem upgrade
sk2 has a really nice full exhaust thats got a nice sound. i think the piping is 2.7 a little larger than 2.5 and less than 3 inch. its kinda loud but it comes with a nice silencer.
full hks exhaust is one of the nicest exhausts imo.... borla makes a nice one if you can find it and greddy evo 2 is a nice quiet one. surft youtube like s'paz said
do a lot of hw and research before buying an exhaust. i've had friends buy exhausts and have to sell them because of too many tickets.

The best sounding imo is the hks....the only problem is not ss so it will rust. The skunk2 is ok, its made in the same plant as the buddy club for a lot less....If you are planing on boosting it, go for a 70mm skunk2....dam loud but it flows.
As for the stock system flowing well!!! Do any of you people crawl under your cars???? The stock system is not mandrel bent and where it goes over the rear swaybar, it necks down to 1.7 inchs....if you think that flows as well as a 2.2 inch or 2.7 inch mandrel bent systems, well, math> than you.
really useful if you have a k20a2 under the hood.....its for a type-r.....it is also for a different header and cat.........

yea i gotta upgrade from my oem asap... i use to have a borla, than tanabe, than DC.... i like the sound of the borla best... a friend of mine is going to build a custom exhaust for me.... i was going to recycle my 2.5 dc midpipe and keep my oem ep3 axel back for sleeper status but in order to adapt the oem ep3 axel back it would just be more cost effective to build a custom setup with a nice resonator. ill post pics when its done.

And for the people saying the midpipe + stock axleback, have you actually ever done this setup? Because from what I've been hearing from people who have done this with a DCRH, it sounds terrible. Also saw a vid clip of this on youtube and it was quite raspy.
I agree, it does sound terrible...
i have the T1R test pipe and the type r mid pipe (b pipe) and stock exhaust and I like the gains on top end lost torque but top end is a lot better than stock. this application is used on 2 DD on a dc5 and ep3..
