Striped Spark plug thread
you dont need to do that.
go to the autoparts and ask them for a die/thread tool it should only cost you less than $10 is nothing to get pansy about.
it happens to the best of specially when we are learning for the first couple of times.
next time do it nice and slow
spin like if you are taking of the sparkplug and you should hear a light tap once you hear that or sparkplug drops right in start spining to tighten.

i just stripped my spark plug hole as well and just fixed it today..pretty easy. u dont need to take the head off. all you need is a tap made specificaly for tapping into a spark plug hole and an insert since your going to be making a new hole. i spent a total of 5 bucks for 2 titanium inserts. also you need a vacuum with a small rubber hose to vacuum any debris that may have fallen into the hole..

yeah i was thinking about taking my cylinder head off as well but thats just too much work.. its also a good idea to put some anti seize on your tap while tapping out the hole that way any other debris will stick to the tap.
I'm planning on pulling the head because I don't want to risk getting things into the cylinder. And i think it would be a good idea to replace all the gaskets anyway. I just need all the torque specs and instructions on getting the timing right on the cam. maybe it is a lot of work, but I would rather do it that way.
