Drag strip

wow the whole reason I didnt want my R anymore is because of owners thinking drag racing isnt real driving.
Im sorry your 170whp monster is easy to drive at the strip.
to the OP I went 14.1 with minor bolt ons. bone stock you should get to mid to high 14's with practice. dont be afraid to abuse the clutch. best 60ft for the mods of the time I ran above was a 2.1 on regular street tires. 7000rpms and just hammer the clutch on the way out of the the hole

I never said drag racing isn't real driving - there is a TON of skill to the sport, especially when it starts to get competitive.
But IMO I would rather take an EF to the drag strip. ~800lbs lighter, with a few mods
Take an EF chassis to a circuit track on the other hand, and the R has the advantage
besides, this is IMO - do what you like to do, it's your car, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Depends on track conditions and elevation. I know if you run it here at 4260 feet the car will be a second slower. My R has Buddy club cams, intake, exhaust with test pipe, tuned on super AFc and traction is a little issue at the track, on street tires.Every track is different. So dont get discouraged. I would go to the track on slicks only, cause I would not want to embarrass my self. good luck
