I have a 96 jdm type r and my power folding mirrors don't work. I was wondering if its possible to just re wire the mirrors myself and then run it through the car without using the cars wiring harness ? if so how would this be achieved ? what would i need ?any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. if you need me to be more specific just ask thanks

Using the car's wiring harness is your best call. That's what I did with mine.
