Default Checking for headgasket leak on E-85 running car

After a 4th gear pull today my car started to overheat and when I poped the hood I noticed my coolant reservor spewed coolant all over one side of my engine bay. So I grabbed a headgasket/combustion leak tester and checked my coolant with it. It came out negative for a comustion gasses in my coolant. So then I started my car and held the tester right in the end of my exhaust pipe, sucked some of the exhaust through it and it and the blue liquid barely changed colors. My question is, do these combustion gas testers look for somthing given off by gasoline or should it work the same for E-85 users also?

Time to do leak-down and compression test. Those hydrocarbon testers are kinda cheating and I wouldn't completely rely on it.
