hi to all, i am currently running a craftsman 33 gallon 1.6 hp compressor in my garage...before beginning any project, i drain out the water from the drain valve on the bottom...also, i purchased a husky water separator and adapted that between the compressor and the air line...what i have noticed, is everytime i am using any type of air tool
(grinder, cut off tool, sander, paint gun) is that i am still having spurts of water come out...can anyone please direct me in solving this problem?...this is something that cannot happen during painting process or it'll ruin anything i am doing...i have searched in many places and cannot find a solid answer...thank you

Just put some masking tape along the length of the hose. It's an old trick I learned from an old timer. He said that it helps in stopping the build up of condensation in the hose. I don't know if that is true but every little bit helps.
It really helps to have about 25-35 feet of hard line after the compressor to allow the air to cool and condense before it gets to your flex air line and tool. That plus as many good filters as you can afford will help with water.
Your looking at getting into a pretty elaborate setup for that small compressor. Depending on the manufacturer most water traps/ filters recommend being AT LEAST 15-25ft away from the compressor. So your talking about running about 20ft of hard line before the filter. You dont want the line to go just straight out of the compressor into the filter, you use a drop as well with a drain on the bottom before the filter to catch excess water. In the last shop we worked at we has 2 filters inline right before each hookup.
