Default OBD2 B18C-R into my 89ED8 CRX HF

Good Day All
Im gonna shove a B18C into my 89Crx HF. Im leaning to the Type R but this means Im going to have to run OBD2 as thats the set up that comes with these engines. Has enyone done the OBD2 to an OBD0 (if you really wanna call it that) car? My question is do the JDM 1996-1998 B18C-R ecu's monitor cat efficiency and EVAP systems? If so how do I work around this? Im trying to keep this project simple so if I gotta add EVAP I would probly just opt for a pre96 OBD1 GSR. Ideas?

I just dropped a 97 spec B18CR in my 1988 CRX si. I simply ordered a conversion harness from Rywire( You send them your harness and the B18CR harness), and a OBD0 to OBD2A jumper harness.

Easy money.

Or you could just go OBD1.

Thanks and wow cool. I need their contact info. Will I be able to use my stock instrument cluster?
How does your CRX run with the B18CR I'm syked!! Like, what RPM do you cruise at at 75 MPH and what kinda top speed would you expect it to hit?
I actually have a bizillion questions and have been studying this swap for a few months

Yes you can but I plan to swap to a Type R cluster soon cause the redline is quite a bit different.

I just finished the swap. i have only went around the block. The alternator that came with the swap is no good and I am waiting on my new one to arrive.

I am running a YS1 GSR tranny with a 4.40 final drive. The type R has a 4.78 final drive so the cruising rpms would be different. The Type R integra has a 143 mph top speed so somewhere around there.

Good luck!!!
