Help me and my 97 prelude!
Hey Guys
I'm new here and I have a question about my prelude... Maybe someone out there can help me figure out what the deal is. Here goes..
I have a 97 non SH Prelude with the following mods,
AEM Cold-Air Intake
Skunk2 Intake manifold
SKunk2 Tuner I Cams
Skunk2 ProSeries Cam Gears
DC Sports 4-2-1 Headers
APEXi N1 2.5" exhaust
AEM Pulleys
EXEDY Stage2 Clutch
ACT Light-Weight Flywheel
HONDATA s300
Tuned at Church's Automotive Testing - 218hp @ 7300rpm; 178 lbs-ft @ 5500
So during the tune on the DynoPack the clutch started slipping. It hadn't before and I only got the Exedy clutch and the ACT flywheel last year and it hasn't been slipping at all. After the tune, when I drive it hard and shift so that as soon as I'm in 2nd gear the car is already in VTEC, then the clutch slips for about 2-3 seconds and then catches. The same for 3rd gear. What could be the problem? DO I need a new clutch and why would that happen in less than a year?
Thanks guys!

my question is have u driven the car hard before the tuning on the dyno pack?.. mine did teh same thing but mine just needed tobe adjusted a bit, might wanna doublee check the pressure plate, and teh clutch , it shouldnt be anything to do with the tuning, that would only be more electrical than anything, unless u know exactly what tuning they were doing and to what parts,, ,, just giving my 2 cents.
I drive the car hard from time to time and yes I had driven it hard before the tune on the dynopack but I dont think i drove it hard enough to burn out the clutch in like 8 months.... thanks for the tip, I"ll check it out
