my 1990 crx wont start... i swapped the old engine which is a d15b2 to a
d15b8... and now my car wont start... i was wondering if i need to change my disturbuter to a obd1... and do i have to use a obd1 harnest also? well i have everything plugged in right now but my car wont spark.. the fuel pump is working... i can hear it... Please tell me somethings i ammm a noob first time swapping by myself.

 

my friend has same problem but i wasnt there when he wired it up so i have to go back and make sure he did everthing right he isnt the smartest but im really not sure if you have to use the obd1 dizzy or harness but if everything else works then you may need to use the dizzy not really sure tho

 

aww man... dammit i dont knoe wat i did wrong i double check all my plugs and everythign but yet the car still wont spark.... damn so fustrateing...lol

What distributor are you currently using?

 

i am using the obd0 distributor from my old engine d15b2

What ECU?

The D15B2 is dual point fuel injection and uses 2 injectors.
D15B8 uses 4 injectors.

Your D15B2 ECU won't support the 4 injectors and you will either need to:
1) Do a DPFI to MPFI swap and use something like the D16A6 OBD0 ECU.
2) Put your old D15B2 intake manifold on the B8 engine.
3) Do a DPFI to MPFI swap AND convert to OBD1 and run the B8 ECU.

make sure all your grounds are conected..if u get no crank by ignition try starting it manualy by the starter
if the engine starts up then it just might be a relay,lose ground, or simple fuse..

..i freaked out to when i swaped my eg.just hapend to be the relays on the engine bay fuse box
