Default Tube Chassis, front end? Tubular front?

Hey all
ive done some searching and havnt found a great deal.
im looking to making a tubular front end for my Prelude drag car and was really looking for some examples of some work others have created.

here are some pics so far.

i was either going to seam weld the front end or tube it........ ive taken all the seam sealant off now but have been thinking of tubing it..

Theres obviously a LOT more work in a space frame but it could give better results. Best way IMO is to look at autograssing. I've been doing some fab work on them recently and there all the class 7's etc have space framed front ends.

this isnt much help, its a drift car. most drag cars run a hoop off a boxed off frame like how mine is, and then run down tubes through the fire wall to the hoop for suport, connecting to the strut tower along the way. rota92 has some good pics of it on his hotrod car

That is badass!

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...183089&page=53

For some reason my laptop won't let me hyperlink that, so not sure if it will work. But you can cut and paste it, that page has tons of shots of my car as it sat a month ago. I can post some more today without all the driveline on it if you'd like, it's apart for paint here at home.

Not a honda but 1 of my favorite build threads. About halfway down

http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...t=19402&page=5

Page one and three shows more about how he got to that point.

How much weight do you think is saved doing it that way?
Versus just factory sheetmetal?

my car weights 1325lbs. wet and ready without driver, so roughly 1000lbs.

Sorry, I meant just the front end. That is impressive though. Front must be worth 100lbs+ then.
That thing should be a rocket with even 300whp!!!!

It could use some triangulation in the front and a brace from dash to floor at B pillar.

i'm curious if anyone would think there'd be an advantage to doing a counter camber anti roll front suspension. i'd think it would give an advantage by keeping the wheels flat on the ground at all times.
