i purchased this cf hood off craigslist and i think the guy told me he got the hood from ebay, i paid 280 for it and i showed my friend the hood, he told me it is fake because the vis label is all metal and is not a sticker, mine was and he told me i got scammed... is that true?

 

I had a genuine VIS hood, and it had a metal badge. You can tell if it's real on weather or not it has a serial number. The serial number stamped into the badge only comes on the ones that are real. As far as I know.

I knew a dude that had a fake one, looked like crap, and the badge didn't have a serial number.

 

my real vis hood fits like crap on my rsx i would never buy anything from them again

 

mine doesnt have a serial number and yea... my firned bought his vis from a warehouse where he can pick out his own. he has a serial number and was a metal plate.

 

i guess it is fake...

 

who cares. it sucks to get scammed, but that hood looks clean as heck for that price.
