Tire rubbing?
so anyways, i just lowered the car on some s techs. rides smoths evrything is good, evrything is installed correctly. But i noticed that when i hit hard turns like a 25 my left tire starts rubbing against something. it only does this on the left side for some reason it sounds like a quick drum beating kinda of noise. i jacked it up and took a look and evrything seemed alright and is installed correctly. so my questions is... does this probably mean that i should get an alignment or what? becuase its only the left tire that this happens to. any suggestions? thank alot.
5th gen prelude like 1 inch drop stock non-sh wheels. 205/50 zr 16 bridgestone tires. tires have like 500 miles on them. i just thouhgt it was weird that one side was rubbing, i mean if it was both side it would obviously be becuase of the drop. and its not like 25 mph turns, its more like swerving at 25 mph becuase i was testing the springs.

possibly but i straped down all the possible flaps on the left wheel so thats why im surprised its rubbing. im not sure exactly where its rubbing but my car does drift very slightly to the left after some recent work becuase i never got around to get an alignment, maybe its the aligning....

Hm. Maybe because you say its when you swerve hard to the left, its the CV joint. You lowered the car right? Sometimes that puts them outta alignment and can make all kinds of racket. There are only so many things that can go wrong.
You lowered your car....you need an alignment.
Also behind both tires in the wheel well, there is a little "hump" that sometimes needs to be shaved down. Make sure its not rubbing on that.

No one asked this?? Front or Rear Wheel?
I had a similar problem when I got new wheels and tires..

Only thing I could come up with was possibly the rear shock was old and sagging.. Doesn't matter any more though... Wheels were stolen...

yea i realized it is not tire rubbing after laying under my car for like an hour. so i guess i could chek out if the CV joint is bad as soon as i find out where it is...
Turned out to be a shitty axle..
its all fixed, i can still barely feel it on hard lefts.. but im thinking its because my motor is moving around too much, so i ordered some mount inserts.
