So this could be a Canadian model EX (which is a EJ6 with the D16Y7 IIRC) or it could be a USDM EX (which is an EJ8 that should have a D16Y8 - 1.6L SOHC VTEC).
An EJ6 can have optional P/S and A/C, but the EJ8 should come with the P/S and A/C standard.

What are you going to do with an auxiliary fan when there is no A/C condenser or radiator for it to cool?
Judging by the rusty fasteners and hardware in the photos, this car sees hard winters. A belly pan splash shield prevents salt spray from corroding all of the fasteners and hardware in the engine bay.
Splash shields serve an important purpose in the rust belt, at least if you ever intend to repair your car . . .

The original title of this thread was "Am i missing something? (1996 EX)". Look at most of the reply titles even.
hmmm..... sure is missing a/c. Well you should be careless about the a/c from now on. it's was told that no a/c help the car run stronger. And it's shouldn't be a problem to the car. unless you dnt want a bad summer time. that's all
