just to let u guys konw (if u didnt) the reverse lock out only works when going from 5th -> R. I temped to skip 3rd (2nd -> 4th) and grinded the R gear... lol... i wont do that agian!

this is actually kind of good to know...

a ferrari buddy had to pull that on a track event...to quote his mechanic "you come back...your engine is hot and your tires are cold!!!"

 

 

i do that sometimes (2-4) and i never get a grind.

 

I've also shifted from 2->4 and never had a problem

 

That's because you guys didn't go from 2 (past 4) to Reverse. Ouch. That's very painful.. I'm glad I wasn't there to hear it.

 

I did the same... and had to have the synchro, reverse idler gear, and fork replaced. -under warranty of-course!

 

Sorry but having the dealer pay for your mistakes is utter BS.

 

LOL!!! If you only knew just how much the dealership owes me!

Without them I wouldn't have:
Permanent damage from overspray.
misc. scratches and dents.
A power window that sometimes works.
A constant shower of parts falling from under the dash.
You know what... I don't have the time.
My dealership sucks, and I’ll never get back the depreciation of value they’ve caused.
The Synchro's were payback!
