how many of you guys painted it black? i herd it reduces the glare from the silver when the sun hits it. i painted my black looks great. i was just wondering how of you guys have done it

 

I almost painted mine black and put the Carbon Fiber overlay on it but I changed my mind. I like the way it is silver because it matches my exterior lol.

 

really? lol i like mines black it reduces the glare too. and at night it looks pretty damn sexy with the lights on from the climate control and radio

 

when i bought my ep, the piece you're talking about was gunmetal gray. It looked pretty ballllllerrr.

i replaced it with the oem silver one because it started to crackkkk.

Mine came w/ OEM carbon trim on it.

 

one of the first things you need to do for your car. I have it flat black, spent 3 hours on it, most of it wetsanding. One of the nessasary things you need to do with your ep3, along with getting a ctr wing and the red vinyl steering wheel sticker

Is there a better method to get it off than prying it with a flathead screwdriver?

Im thinking about painting mine now.

 

i took my shifter *** off and then pulled on the crome part where the shifter cover is on and it poped off. and use a mini small mirco tiny smalll flat head to get som of the conners so it would scratch the srounding areas

 

how exactly did you pull off the shifter?

makes me wish i paid attention when my cousin installed the OEM one.

 

the shifter doesnt come off. just the ***. all it is a plactic peice that pops off. ill try to find pics for you or ill take some tommorw. since im off
