15 more amps worth $300 more dollars?
Okay, so I've narrowed down a replacement machine to either the TA 185 or the TA 200. The local place can get me a demo TA 200 for $2300 out the door and I can get the New TA 185 for $2000 shipped on ebay. You guys think the extra $300 is worth it for 15 more amps?
Is it worth $300 extra to purchase from a local company that be of help when or if the machine has an issue, or is it worth saving $300 to be SOL when something goes wrong with your Ebay purchase? I would feel more comfortable knowing the local shop can take care of me in the future.
he said it's never been turned on but has been handled a lot at trade shows. I would love to help my local shop but the only drawback I have is it's a demo. The warranty is only 1 year on demos

TA has a good rep, I don't think there will be a problem with either one. I buy used stuff all the time, so I vote go for the handled but not used machine. (ya never know, maybe you'll be doing more aluminum/thick stuff than you think)

IOC has the TA200 on sale for about 300 more than the TA 185. I'm debating as well, I was about to order it today too.
It's 20 bucks cheaper from IOC direct, just give them a call.
FWIW, the ebay seller of the TA's is IOC, just as their ebay people instead.
Checked IOC online, it's 2373.00 and the 185 is 2030.00
