my friend removed the spark plug wires from the distributor cap thinking that he needed to remove them to do a volatege drop to check his starter. he then cranked the ignition, now he installs the wires back to the distributor, and the car doesnt want to start now. did he ruin his distributor?

 

are the plugs in the right order?

 

yes, all plug wires are in the correct order.

 

Best thing to do is buy a inline spark tester, connect it between the cap and the spark plug wire then see if it has spark.

 

Sounds like your buddy owes you a new ignition coil or module.

 

found the problem, bad ignition coil. thanks for all the help
