Default Need help... Problem with Idle *VIDEO*

Hey peoples... I figured I'd post this here because.... well... this is where I find the most knowledgeable people *kisses azz*

Anywho, my brothers car just started acting up... Any ideas on what the problem might be. What are the chances it is the Air control valve?

Here is the video... notice the fluctuating idle?

Also, would that be #11 here?

I thank you and my brother thanks you

We looked everywhere and sprayed some stuff on the lines... didn't see anything. Are these the symptoms of a bad IAC? Thanks alot

possibly.........but check the coolant level........if there is low collant the IAC valve is thinking it's not up to operating temprature because there isnt enough hot coolant flowing through it...........

if the coolant level is fine then try un-pluging the IAC valve and see if it changes the flucuating idle. if it does change and rev's up then the IAC valve is fine. if it makes no change then the valve could be bad.

is the check engine light on?

Its my car he is talking about.
The same ecu has been in there since day one,Its a mugen chipped P28.

The problem started Friday so I looked under my hood and noticed that the bottom fell out of my air filter.
I couldve been getting dirt in there for a long time.
The next day I put a new filter and reset the Ecu and the car was ok up until today.
I checked my coolant Friday and It looked full,Today it was EMPTY.
I filled it and sprayed some throttle body cleaner in my throttle body and the problem is still there.
Im really depressed about this.
This is just a topper on top of all my other problems and I am just miserable.
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I just cooked a nice steak and mashed potatoes and threw it in the garbage because I am so sick of life and I couldnt even force it down my throat.
Ok Please help.
Dan
Ps Simple,Rob installed some ITR Cams for me,Do you think there is a small posibility that I am due for a Valve adjustment and maybe thats the cause of my problems.
He told me top get it adjusted in about 5000 miles.
My friend Mike had problems like mine after a valve adjustment and when we brought it back the guy said it was at zero.He did something and the car was as good as new.
This car is all I have right now. . .

hey .. well i had a similar problem with my car after my engine was built..

i found the purge soleniod to the charcol canister was staying on causing the car to

idle bad i would unplug the cennector to it.. mine sounded like it had a small vacum leak also but what was happening it the sensor was staying open causing
more air then what was needed to go in... i would try that...

good luck

My car did that when it ran too rich at idle, i leaned it out 5% on the vafc and it ran like a charm.

I had this problem with my 88 CRX Si. Check your coolant temperature sensor.
