Replacement Quarter Panels
i am a collision tech, i would never put aftermarket quarter panels on a car, nor have i ever even seen one, are they not repairable? only other option is used quarter panels.. and that is not a fun task.
fail! Just like bondo does every time!!
Use a reputable body filler that doesn't promote moisture or rusting. Bondo is pure junk compaired to this blue stuff I've been using lately. Brand name has slipt my mind as its been soo damn long since I had to do any body work thanks to this stuff!!!! *** BONDO!
Oh yeah, and to the opp.. you may as well get grinding, welding, and filling/sanding prepping, priming, and painting. All this stuff you can do yourself. If you need advice doing body work PM me or look it up in the "Astethtic's" forum here. Its all about painting/body work. Your car is like a renewable painting/canvas. You can just sand it back down, repaint if you don't like the job you did. Just know that ever little blemish you have in your body work is going to show up x 10 when painted. Make sure you sand everything as smooth as possible with good lighting to see what your doing. The smoother the surface the less likely anything can get trapped and generate corrossion again.

Factory quarter panels are very expensive. I'm gonna have body shop take care of it. If I could find quarter panels cheap, I rather just get it welded and paint the car.

If you see little pin holes along the line that they welded in the piece, its going to bubble out withen a year. Its easier to get them to fix it right away than trying to chase them down later. Keep all reciepts too.
Just get a front fender from the opposite side of the quarter panel you want to replace and cut out what you need and weld it in.
Actually replacing a rear quarter isn't that daunting of a task. Ask any tool rep for a spot weld remover, and have plenty of time, if your up to doing the task yourself.
Have to removed the rear glass and the quarter glass, but its not that difficult. Just have to chase out all the spot welds and remove them. Both inside and outside. But if your really worried about it looking right find someone else to do it thats done it before. Skinning a car isn't all that hard. Lining it all back up is alittle tricky.
