anybody know why my EF takes so long to start?
hey everybody i have a EF with a mini me swap that runs GREAT besides its noisy throw out bearing lol!, but heres my problem in the morning when i try to start my car it takes about 5 or 6 trys to actually start and when it does it runs like crap till it warms up then after a min or so it runs perfect, after that once ive started it the first time...all day it starts right up but im just confused maybe its the ECU gettting Confused dont know??? but any help would be great thanks!
dirty fuel? plugs fouled? wires need replacing? you said it's hard to start, basically when cold in the morning. i would guess that maybe the fuel filter needs replaced. when was the last time you did a complete tune up?
Used to have the same problem I change my main relay and fuel pump. After that my car was running like a champ so i suggest check you those two things.
possibly a fuel pump yes. but a man relay? from my experience, they show no signs of going bad, they just **** all at once. its like a fuse almost. no signs of future blowing, it just all of a sudden goes.
I was having the same problem with my ZC, but I just threw a b16a in and it all went away. But I am curious to find out what was actually causing it, I was thinking it had something to do with the spark timing being a little off.
