I swaped a b18c into my ek a while ago. The shift linkage I used was said to be from a B series. It fits and works fine. But it hits my exhaust piping and sounds like a rattle can when I'm driving. Is this normal? is there a way to fix it? the shift linkage I bought is used and looks to have a short shifter on there. ideas?

 

Pictures would help.. if you did it into your 96-00 civic you need 99-00 si linkage or civic type r linkage

my buddy had that problem it was just the short throw end was too long and he put on a stock and it was fine

 

awesome! i'll try a different shifter first.

 

Short shifters will rattle against the heat shield. So it's normal.
