Lock up control solenoid??? wiring gurus please help

Default Lock up control solenoid??? wiring gurus please help


im looking at A8 ther eis no wire int his picture..
that wire is on my car.
HAsport wiring guide lists it as "Lock up control solenoid (automatics only)"
how come i have this wire? my car is a stick!

ive bookmarked that pic for myself when i go to do the wiring, but this really confuses me, i hope someone can help!

Your car was prolly a auto before you got it and was converted. Either way I wouldnt sweat it if it controls something that isnt in your car anymore.

i thought all 88-91 civic SI's were stick??? i have a 90 civic SI

I think honda just puts that wire in there so they only have to make one harness for sticks and automatics. it is cheaper to just add one wire than to have two totally different assemblys. Im pretty sure that if you pinned around with a meter you wil find continuity to one of your engine harness disconnects and the wire will end there. my dx had that wire also when i did my mpfi
