Default PS Elimnation Question

I've got a 98 Civic DX that came with PS. What would happen if I disconnected the lines to my rack and left it disconnected? Would it seize up?

I'd be pulling my resrvior out and my pump out leaving the rack with no fluid in it. My question is would I have to worry about my rack seizing up.

yeah, it would seize as there would be no lubrication to the rack.

I as well as my brother have been without P/S on our 2000 Civic Ex's for a year now without any problems

We just removed the pumps and tucked the hoses down behind the intake mani and wrapped them up, you can hardly tell they are visible unless you look real close.

I love not having P/S, you can feel the road alot better at high speeds and cornering is smoother. The only thing that sucks is when you are not moving it's a bit harder to turn the wheel
