it doesnt have reverse, the guy said it was the shift linkage and i went and got new torque rod and shift rod but they looked the same when i got under there and i couldn't get the pin out to release the shift rod anyways. does anybody know what could have caused this(could it be the shift linkage?). all the other gears shift great. i was also told that if somebody had installed something upside down it would have reverse. thanks for any help

Yes the car is a bit ruff but look at it like this, it has black interior that many of us would slave over, it has a clean engine bay, and has potential. If he has heart then let him go. I would not have paid $1100 personally but it can be done. If I were you, i would build a sick *** swap for it and leave the body the way it is and not even drop the damn thing. So when you pull up next to all the haters and **** on their windshield, just watch them cry because their parents bought their ****.

Dear Lawd. That's gonna be a hell of a project. I picked up a 93 Si shell with an SIR II anniversary interior as well as real spoon mirrors and all the exterior JDM goodies for $1200. I dropped my LS in it and got it Bar'd. Now I have a car that's worth much more then $1200. =P

To each their own on the body kit. Since your new I'll tell ya. 98% of people on this forum don't appreciate body kits. The Honda world has gone through phases if you will. It started out as the Fast and the Furious stage where enormous drifter wings and body kits with dope phat candy pink paint made you a badass. The movement is now the "JDM" phase mind you. This means you try to get your car to resemble a real Japanese Honda Civic Hatchback/Coupe/Four Door. And then you dump it on some nice rims and call it a day.

Have fun with your project! Hopefully your previous owner didn't lazy redneck your wiring or chop your SRS airbag harness in half!

Again...to each his own. Not a fan of the body kit, but I'm not going to rag on you for it. I think a lot of us that has been around Hondas, or even imports in general, for more than just a couple of years has gone through stages as well. I've had my 99 coupe for more than six years now and trust me it's been through a couple of complete makeovers. Build the car for you and what makes you happy, you're the one driving it everyday, not us.
